   आश्चर्य है कि प्राचीन यूरोप के रीढ़ की हड्डी सीधी हो रही है लेकिन अमेरिकी सरकार की प्रतिक्रिया दुखद रही है .इस प्रतिक्रिया के बाद सरकार को देश के अग्रणी इस्लामवादी संगठन काउंसिल ऑन अमेरिकन इस्लामिक रिलेश्न्स का भी समर्थन मिल गया. वैसे यह कोई आश्चर्य का विषय नहीं है क्योंकि इस्लाम को प्राथिमकता देने का वाशिंगटन का अपना इतिहास रहा है . इससे पहले भी दो मौंकों पर मोहम्मद के अपमान के विषय पर इसने जल्दबाजी दिखाई है.
